What Makes Disney Lorcana: Fabled Unique?
Disney Lorcana: Fabled marks a major turning point in the Lorcana universe. While the first eight sets laid the foundation of the game – introducing mechanics, building the world, and bringing in beloved characters – Fabled stands apart as something more. One of the most significant changes introduced with Fabled is that it marks the beginning of Lorcana’s official rotation system. The first four sets – The First Chapter, Rise of the Floodborn, Into the Inklands, and Ursula’s Return – are now rotated out of the Core Constructed format, meaning they are no longer legal for standard tournament play. Fabled becomes the first set in this new competitive landscape, forcing players to rethink deckbuilding strategies from the ground up. At the same time, Fabled reintroduces over 100 reprinted cards from earlier sets, with updated card numbers to make them legal in the rotated environment. This creates a smooth transition and a bridge between Lorcana’s past and its future.
Fabled also brings a major shift in how rarity is treated in the game. For the first time, two entirely new rarity types have been introduced: Epic and Iconic.
