A Magic Play Booster Display contains 504 cards across 30 Play Booster packs. In each Magic Play Booster pack, you get 14 cards, with the chance to pull up to 4 rares in a single pack.

Love drafting? Then Play Boosters are what you want now, as Draft Boosters are being phased out. The new Play Booster format is a combination of a Set Booster and a Draft Booster — essentially, a Play Booster is a Set Booster that can be drafted!

Each Play Booster Pack contains at least one foil Magic card — and it can even be a Foil Rare or Foil Mythic Rare — so it’s possible to get more than one foil in a single Play Booster Pack.
And it doesn’t stop there: you can pull even more rares thanks to the three rare‑capable slots — the wildcard slot, the rare slot, and “The List”. That means multiple ways to hit rare cards in a Play Booster.

And wait! There’s also a chance that one of the common cards is replaced with a card from “The List”, which can also be a rare! So what is The List? It’s a curated selection of cards from across Magic’s history, printed in their original form (including art, frame, and expansion symbol), plus a small Planeswalker symbol in the lower left corner.
