Yu‑Gi‑Oh! The Trading Card Game was first released in Japan by Konami back in 1999, where it quickly became a huge success. Three years later, in 2002, it was launched worldwide, and the Yu‑Gi‑Oh! card game rapidly grew into a global phenomenon. Yu‑Gi‑Oh! became so popular that in 2009 it entered the Guinness World Records for being the best‑selling trading card game, with more than 22 billion cards sold worldwide. The Yu‑Gi‑Oh! Card Game Is Constantly Evolving
